HOPCC or otherwise known as House of Prayer Christian Church, is a church with a vision, “This will defend.”  The Bible says in Phil 1:16, “The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.”  Paul, who was divinely inspired and wrote the above Scripture, stated that his purpose was to defend the gospel, and HOPCC has followed the same cause as the apostle Paul.  One of the purposes of the Christian church is to be a Godly influence on others.  There is a saying, “that it only takes a spark to get a fire going.”  HOPCC, as a church, desires to be a spark that will ignite a fire in people’s hearts to turn to the Lord!  One way that the House of Prayer church does this is by publishing the Prayer Force magazine.  The Prayer Force is a spiritual magazine with inspirational articles about prayer, devotion, and revival.

HOPCC congregations established in six states

HOPCC or House of Prayer Christian Church are soul-saving stations in which the gospel of Jesus Christ is preached, and people can experience a change in their life.  A soul-saving station is where you come in one way and leave out another with joy.  The Bible says in 1Pet 1:8, “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.”  House of Prayer Christian Church has churches with growing congregations and dedicated ministers who care about the flock of God.  Furthermore, the HOPCC outreach goes as far as coordinating trips to New York City, Chicago, Houston, and Washington DC; during these missionary trips, House of Prayer endeavors to be that spark to ignite a fire for prayer in the soul of America.

A Model of the Book of Acts

The vision of HOPCC goes beyond the borders of America but models the book of Acts in the New Testament.  The Bible says in Acts 1:8, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”  The vision of the book of Acts was for the Christians to be a Prayer Force to shake the kingdom of darkness in every country.  Moreover, there was a HOPCC missionary trip to London in July 2012 in which the missionaries witnessed to a Roman Catholic priest named Father Walsh.  It was there that Rev Jeff Derby of House of Prayer Christian Church began to tell the priest the mighty things that God was doing on their missionary trip.  Father Walsh was inspired and said, this reminds me of the book of Acts!”  This testimony was a spark that ignited a fire in Father Walsh, in which he welcomed the House of Prayer missionaries to come into his church to pray.  Thus, making that building a House of Prayer for all people.
