House of Prayer Church

With great pleasure, Stellar Ministries will continue our exclusive appraisal of House of Prayer Church.

This horrible pandemic has crippled countless homes, businesses, and families, and yes, even houses of worship have been left without much hope.

Yet, amid all this chaos, there stands a resilient church, one that is unfazed by the numerous challenges brought upon the world by this growing crisis. Their mission statement, “To Reach the World,” has not changed. As a Heavenly banner that has been unfurled for combat, it is lifted high as an ensign of hope without any indication of surrender or retreat.

Moreover, the Mission Courier’s Board of Directors, with unanimous consent, give two thumbs up to the House of Prayer Church.

Place of Worship and Prayer

The hallmark of House of Prayer Church is their predilection for prayer. This virtue has not died in the congregants’ hearts but rather continues to burn as a flame producing worship from each believer. HOPCC, which is how the church is referred to by many, regularly hosts prayer meetings, adhering to the teachings of Jesus, “… men ought always to pray.” (Luke 18:1).

Intercession is made on behalf of all people; prayer requests are always welcome and presented to the church. The prayer meetings held in the sanctuary are quite an extraordinary experience. All are welcome to attend and join in the mighty chorus of prayer. Whether African-American, Caucasian, Latino, young or old, visitor or

parishioner- there is no respect of persons. From singing, dancing, clapping, crying and laughing, or simply remaining in a state of quietness, great liberty to worship God is present for all to enjoy in this dynamic movement!

House of Prayer Church Organization to a Revival of Prayer

The vision of House of Prayer Church is not only limited to a mere local gathering of prayer warriors. It is their earnest desire for a concerted worldwide effort, as was the vision of the Apostle Paul: “I will therefore that men pray everywhere lifting up holy hands without wrath or doubting” (1 Timothy 2:8). The spiritual recipe of a burning zeal and a foundation of prayer has been so paramount to House of Prayer Church; indeed, it is only a matter of time before a great revival of prayer is ushered in.

In April 2015, a team was assembled and sent on an assignment to the capital city of Raleigh, North Carolina.- The day began by joining hands and forming a circle around the state seal imprinted into the concrete. As prayer was made and spiritual hymns were being sung, the group was accepted by many who also joined in and followed House of Prayer Church’s lead.

Following this event, the team entered the capitol building peacefully and were well received. Security guards, interns, and staff members solicited prayer and words of encouragement. An invitation was given to come back on another day and join the legislative body of state representatives in prayer since they were not in session at the time.

Next, the team witnessed to the people of the city in the streets. A group of Mormon elders were passing by and noticed this incredible sight. They were invited to join in and willingly obliged. These were just a few things that happened during this journey, but it definitely was not an isolated event. Many other trips just like this have happened before, and many more will continue in the future. From New York, New York to Seattle Washington; Nigeria to Morocco; Rome to Paris; and Mexico to El Salvador, HOPCC is not going solo, but they are enlisting whosoever wants to be a part of this revival of prayer.

TESTIMONIES

Countless testimonies have poured in concerning House of Prayer Church. Whether it is via E-mail, letter, or phone, many have expressed great joy in being touched by the power of prayer and the demonstration of love. On one occasion, at a re-election campaign, a local mayor identified a prayer team and said, “Those are my prayer warriors.” These testimonies are not only limited to local mayors or city council members, but their vision has taken them to the United Nations building in New York City. Being encouraged to pray, diplomats were so moved that friendships were forged, and doors were opened to go to their countries to pray. Also, one diplomat personally offered to escort the team throughout his country to pray and share the vision.

HOPCC also has worldwide acclaim, with results being seen daily. A group of Mexican nationals call in by phone and join the church for prayer every day. Many may never have heard of House of Prayer Church before, or even thought that anything like this was ever possible, but be encouraged because this movement is coming to a city near you, and there is plenty of room to be a part!
