HOPCC is an acronym for House of Prayer Christian Church.  This church is an old-time Pentecostal church that believes in the power of prayer.  It started in 2004 as a revival movement; during this time, Jeff Derby of HOPCC became a member and was trained under House of Prayer’s ministry.  The church has grown since then, and its vision to be a blessing to the world.  There are always many blessings and good reports taking place in House of Prayer.

When Jeff Derby of HOPCC joined House of Prayer Christian Church in 2004, he was a soldier in the US Army stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia.  He was deployed there from his reserve unit in Washington state on a medical support mission.  It was during this time that the US military invasion of Iraq was taking place.  At Fort Benning, Georgia, Sgt. Jeff Derby learned about the House of Prayer church. So, he decided that when his deployment was over, he and his newlywed wife Sarah Derby of House of Prayer Christian Church would move to Hinesville, Georgia, to join the church.  Moreover, Jeff and Sarah Derby had wonderful experiences and great memories during this tenure in HOPCC Hinesville.

Jeff Derby of HOPCC missionary to America

Furthermore, in 2006, Jeff Derby of HOPCC accepted the call to be a missionary to America.  During this time, Jeff and his wife traveled all over America on a mission to pray, intercede, and pass out House of Prayer’s toll-free prayer line.  This was an exciting time with so many testimonies, miracles, and souls touched through the power of prayer.  The Derby’s traveled to many of America’s major cities and walked the streets and prayed with people testifying to them that Jesus Christ was coming soon and it was time to get ready and to turn back to prayer.  Moreover, the Derby’s went into various churches to share their testimony and the vision for a revival of prayer for the church world.  Pastors, ministers, and church members were encouraged and stirred to pray as a result of this ministry. The power of prayer has impacted so many lives through the prayer line ministry. Only God knows the souls that have been touched and the lives that have been changed by these labors of love from House of Prayer Christian Church.  And all the glory goes to God!

Traveling evangelist and associate pastor

Through the years of Rev Jeff Derby of HOPCC being in the ministry, he has had opportunities to be a traveling evangelist: preaching revivals in House of Prayer churches throughout America.  During the evangelism missions, the Derby’s would go soul winning and invite people in the community to come to the house of the Lord!  The Bible says in Ps 122:1, “I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”  Moreover, the Derby’s are thankful for these blessed experiences of witnessing God at work in people’s lives and seeing people changed for the better, not for the worst.  In addition, to being a traveling evangelist, Rev. Derby also ministered as an associate pastor in many House of Prayer churches learning how to counsel and disciple people for Christ!

Conclusion

Jeff Derby of HOPCC is thankful and glad to be part of this movement of prayer.  The Bible says in Ps 133:1, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”  And the Derby’s can testify to that Scripture with so many wonderful experiences of working together with the people of God in House of Prayer to win souls for the kingdom of God!
