Rev. Omar Garcia of House of Prayer Christian Church Hinesville, GA, is a minister and administrator within this dynamic church. The call to “Reach the Lost” is demonstrated as evangelistic teams have mobilized to reach out to Liberty County and surrounding areas, including Haitian and Mexican migrant workers. Their church creed – “Do all the good you can now” – is exemplified daily as their selfless sacrifice demonstrates that even in America, people from across the globe can be reached with the message of salvation and hope.

Rev. Omar Garcia of House of Prayer Christian Church Hinesville, GA, grew up in the Bronx in New York City; whereas a teenage boy, he felt the need to help and serve his fellow man. Thinking this burden would be fulfilled by defending his country through military service, he enlisted in the US Army; however, he found this wasn’t the answer. After his combat tour to the Middle East and upon returning to his duty station of Fort Bragg, NC, the burden resurfaced. But this time, it was different. As his final months of active military service was closing, Omar Garcia of HOPCC saw the need was more personal. In order to help others, he must first give his life to Jesus Christ and experience salvation in his own life. Today, he, his wife, and his two daughters are inspired to serve the Lord and remain a family together in Christ from that life-altering decision.

Furthermore, Rev. Omar Garcia of House of Prayer Christian Church Hinesville, GA, is very grateful and indebted to be part of such a wonderful movement that received him as a young serviceman. Just the opportunity to share his testimony with others and give back to the church that welcomed him has been a joy beyond compare!
